The buffet-style Fijian food was finger-lickin' good! The cat thought so too.

Here we are... advertising and computer professionals turned native dancers! volunteered to learn a local Fijian dance, then donned sarongs joined the show that was performed for visiting day tour.

Siggy, one of the energetic and wonderful staff members at Robinson Crusoe Island, put on an amazing fire-throwing show. Is it just Ken, or does he look like long-lost brother actor Martin Lawrence?

Joseph, dubbed one of the best fire twirlers in all Fiji, is son king a local village. Notice his tattoos... they covered legs and midriff. Many Fijians are heavily tattooed.

Joseph took us on a jungle tour through the center of the island, where we learned about various medicinal plants. This one will cure any skin ailment, and is especially good for treating some forms of cancer. He also showed us plants for colicky babies, labor pains and sunburns.

After spending the day at Robinson Crusoe Island, day-trippers board boat to go back their hotels on mainland. Most of them were older men and women who enjoyed a "with natives".

It's 3:00 in the afternoon, and time for daily volleyball game beside beach. Here's Ken making an amazing save his team!

On our second night, we were treated to an unbelievable sunset.
fiji_rob_013
No, that's not a backdrop behind Stephanie... this was an amazing sunset at Robinson Crusoe Island!
fiji_rob_014
Every night at sunset, we gathered around a bonfire on the beach to enjoy view, while locals played guitars and shared little kava with us.
fiji_rob_015
Speaking of kava, here's Ken enjoying a bowl-full right here. You specify low-tide (half-full) or high-tide (full), and then must drink it "bottoms up", in one swig.
